EFI to carb gas tank swap

Has anyone here put a carbed system with a mechanical fuel pump on an original efi gas tank. I have a 92 four cyl gas tank.

It looks like I just need to remove the pump and put a piece of hose on the tube. Will this work?

You can get a pickup from an 86 or earlier I think or get a sump kit that is to be welded to the gas tank.
