Once the EGR has been eliminated, what becomes of the wiring harness for it? Can the EEC be flashed to not look for the signal? Do you get a CE light, etc? Thanks

I think you can just tuck the harness away. You can get a chip or use a tweecer to turn the function off in the EEC so you dont get a CE light.

I think you have one of the most unique stangs.....I envy you.

If I just delete the EGR and I get a CE, is that all that will happen or will my cars performance differ from the CE. Like that open loop/closed loop ****?

befoe i got my chip burned i would get a CE it didn't seem to run any different, when it was on though? i fixed it by pushing in the plunger half way and hiding the harness.and turing it off with the chip .

The EGR is only used at part throttle acceleration. Once you go to WOT (open loop), the computer shuts the EGR off.

So I can't see why you would have any performance problems.

But closed loop is a different story. My guess is the O2 sensors will still do their job and maintain a proper a/f ratio and nothing will be affected adversely (except for emissions, HAHA).
