OK, problem. I just finished my afr head swap
Heres the problem, of course i broke off the old egr tube taking it off, so i ordered a new one from ford. i replaced my gt intake with a factory 95 cobra intake and used flowtech shorty headers. the new egr tube doesnt fit correctly! I see it is crimped in the middle and looks like it should bend but it just doesnt want to bend easily. is there some secret. for now, to start the car i just capped everything off and pluged in the egr so it wouldnt trip a cel. so far, the car is running nicely. is there anything wrong with just leaving everything capped besides obvious emissions laws? i would like to stay emissions legal just to say it is a 300hp emissions legal car, but its not totally neccessary.
ive tried the pipe department at home depot looking for a way to make a egr tube, but i cant imagine much holding up to the heat. Is there any bendable tube out there that will actually hold up to the heat of fresh out of the engine exhaust? or better yet, whats an easy way to bend the stock egr tube, i think i could make it work by bending it, but its def. not the easy way
