eibach pro kit

i'm going to be ordering an eibach pro kit. I was just wondering if I wanted to do future suspension mods. Should I wait to order them or not?

yea you can get the Pro-kit now if you want and they'll work for future mods.

I love my Prokit.......The car handles soooooo much better. Don't put them on old shocks and struts though.......I got the mach 1 tocikos

i dont think they are the ideal drag springs at all, if i remember correctly the eibach drag launch kit is really good, so are the fox springs too.

what rating does eibach recommend with the pro-kit? Like 50/50, 40/60?? I remember installing a set on a friends' trans am and it was really bouncy with the stock shocks/struts.

im not for sure of the rating but when i did after i did mine i took it for a test drive a day afterwards to let the springs settle in and there was no difference in ride quality!

Pro-Kit is on since Nov. 2002 and I even cut the front springs in dec.2002 and the car still rides perfectly !

This picture was taken last week end. Don't forget that is you cut the front springs like I did you will have to get some caster camber plates but you will not if you bolt the Pro-kit to your stock shock and struts.

Well i have the sport line and they suck. Hmmm i guess they dont' suck i just made the mistake of buying them. I have the worst 60ft ever. I'm going to take them off this winter and sell my springs.

I had the prokit on my car for almost 2 years now with no other mods and the car rides just fine. The springs are barely harder than stock, they ride really nice. I just decided to switch to sportlines because I wanted it to sit lower.

The Eibach Pro's are great for dropping the car down 2 inches but not for racing and you would need some aftermarket shocks and struts because the ride is a bit harsh.

Pro-Kit here. Put mine on with 800 miles on the odometer. I love the ride quality and the drop is perfect for me.

Drop was just under what Eibach specifies. About 1-1/8 in the rear and 1-1/4 in front. I did use after market urathane isolaters top and bottom. If I were to do it again, I would remove the rear bottom spring perch isolater. I would not do any changes to the front. Eibach says its an even drop all around but, mine wound up with a slight rake. I like it that way though.

I would definitely do as many of the following at the same time to save labor:
1) springs with NEW isolators
2) shocks/ struts
3) lower control arms

Other suspension mods such as upper arms, sway bars, and sub-frame connectors are all labor-independent of the three items above.
