Eibach Springs Question

I was wondering with people with the Eibach Springs on there stangs.

I am kinda confused on what I should get for my Stang? What I would like to do is get a lowered stang at the same time get it to where the car can ride and handle good. Also, where I can take it to a track, once and awhile. I see the springs but am not sure what height to use.
Also, if anyone can give me an idea what the difference would be between getting the springs vs the Pro-system the Eibach offers?

What I am trying to do is get the car ready for a Superchager within the next year time frame.

Depends on your location, and how far you will travel to a track.

So . . . Do you think to Pro-system is worth its price, considering it's main use right now is a daily driver??

I've used the Eibach's before and they are ok for sure. I decided to try a Mustang specific company for the springs on my Mach this time and went with the Mustang Racing Technologies Racing springs. I've had them for over 2 years and really like the way it changed the Mach and hoe they are holing up.

As far as what height to use, I assume you are talking drop. If you live in an area with smooth streets, you never go on back country roads, don't have speed bumps in your normal travels, etc, etc, you can go about as low as you want. With the MRT Race springs I have and where I drive my Mustang I have not had trouble with anything dragging. Now my Son's GT has some springs that lowered his car a little over 2" in the front and 2 1/4" in the rear with his adjustable weightjacker control arms and some places he goes with speedbumps the cats do drag.

Are you looking for a track that is for road racing or drag racing? Where are you located? If you are looking into road racing, contact the SCCA to see if there is any Autocrossing in your area, also get a list from them of the long tracks in your area and go to their web sites to see if they have any track days for non-sanctioned racing. If drag racing is your choice, get in touch with the NHRA and IHRA to get a list of tracks near you.

I'm curious why you went with the Race springs as opposed to their Street springs - was it simply because of the increased drop that the race springs give? Do you know the rates of these springs? How's the ride?

I went with the Race springs because of the spring rates, I was told the fronts are 700lb and the rears are 275-300lbs. With the stock rates on the Mach1 I felt it would help the major push (understeer) it had and still not be that much of a stiffer ride. I live and drive where the roads are pretty smooth and feel the ride is acceptable with the extra stiffness the race springs give. Actually unless I happen to hit a large bump the ride is not much different than the stockers. If I lived in a pot hole ridden area I probably would have went with the street Springs though.

Well, I am currently stationed in guam and the roads are semi-smoth with the very often found pot holes (1" to 2" deep) and road steel thingies, that cover ditches. Well I do appreciate the other spring options I will look into them.

guam?! I think that's a first.

I have eibachs and love em. I live in the suburbs. Some bumpy roads but overall just regular streets. The springs have help up fine for 1.5 years. Two months ago I put on Bilsteins all around. Well worth it. DOn't just do springs w/o shocks/struts!

I have the Pro's and enjoy them. I've rode in and drove cars with the Sportlines. Just too severe for me and everday/ cruise driving. However my pro's are not great for roadcourse driving. I have a pic someone snapped of my car and it looks to be almost scrapping the front lip in a corner.

Well Thats the Military life you know. Getting stationed in odd places. But, anyways, I do appreciate the assistance AMbo I will look into and possibly getting the Eibach Pro Springs with Bilstein Shocks and Struts. I figured that if you change the spring minus well do the shocks and stuts as well.
Did you have to get caster chambers when you changed your Springs?? Also, i was looking and there ar numerous veriety for the Shocks and struts. Can you tell me what set do you have, if you remember??
