I am going to order a set of new springs for my 2004 GT, but I'm not sure which set to go with. I heard a lot of people on this forum perfer the Eibach, but the Super Sport H&R lower more than the Eibach Pro-Kit and not as extreme as the Sportline. And what about the Drag-Launch springs by Eibach has anyone used these. Thanks for your comments....

In the next week or 2, I'm ordering some sportlines. I like the super sports (how they're in between pro kit and sportline) but the raked look doesnt look too appealing to me. There are 2 GT's around where i live with the H&R SS springs and they look alright, but IMO, the back end doesn't look too good up in the air like that, especially with stock wheels (bullets). I prefer the slammed look a lot more (with the sportlines). There will definately be some bottoming out problems, though.

eibachs are a big name but i have heard from a lot of people that the pro-kit tend to sag a bit in the back on mustangs for some reason. Most of the people i know that have them on mustangs use the convertible springs on coupes because the back one are stiffer. i would go with h&r

I had the Eibach drag kit on my 99 GT and the didn't lower the car at all. In fact they all most looked like it sat even higher

lol they're not supposed to lower the car

those springs are only designed specifically for making better weight transfer to the back tires for drag launching

My pro kit hasn't sagged in the rear and have been on for ~3 years. Still sits perfect to me. I may like just a tad bit lower, but it's not worth it. I already have a hard time w/ speed bumps etc.. Not to mention the lower you go the worse you acceleration traction gets (less spring travel). W/ my intercooler, and longtube headers forget ever going lower. My car sits pretty damn good as is anyway -

I'd really recommend swapping struts and shocks while you've got it all apart. A lot of people say you just need springs, but I want to retain ride quality (or enhance it) as well. I am planning to go this route...Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustables for me.

The local performance shop said a lot of his customers brought their cars back to replace the Eibach drag launch springs with H&R. They said they were unhappy with the cornering and ride on the street. But I am sure this bothers some less than others.

However, as far as weight transfer to the rear goes, they do their thing.

A side note, I am now getting such outstanding launching traction with the Nitto 555R drag radials, I am no longer considering suspension mods.

Kind of figured the car wouldn't lower do to the nature of the springs...but dumbass at Summit told me how much I would enjoy the look and perfomance of the drag springs after the 1 1/2 drop.

The best advice I can give you is that if the part doesn't fit a small-block Chevy, the people at Summit probably don't know WTF they are talking about. It was even worse when I was a Mopar guy. They really don't know crap about Dodges/Plymouths.

But if you call needing an HEI for a 350 or some wheels for that '78 Camaro thats been sitting on blocks in front of your trailer for 5 years, chances are they can probably hook you up with any info you want. Just don't ask them about Fords, Mopars, or AMCs.

very clean drop Xstanger. Looks very nice, how's the ride?


Anyone heard of Vogtland springs? They're supposed to have the smoothest ride with a drop somewhere in between the Pro-kits and Supersports. I could only find pics online for a convertible, but would like to see pics for a coupe.

I got new 5 way Tokico Luminas from the big brown truck but won't have
time for a few days to install

The Eibachs came nowhere close to dropping the front of my 98 by 1-1/2" as advertised...more like 3/4-1" front and a good 1-1/4" in the rear...maybe that's what people call 'sag'.

I think it looks just fine myself.

Ride is fine. Not to stiff, not bouncy and just about perfect in my opinion.

Ride looks good now Ryan glad you got them installed I'll have to see it in person in a week or two at the CS show
