I took my car in for service last week because my rearend was leaking fluid, so anyway i call the ford dealership up yesterday and asked if my car was done, they told me its gonna be another 3 days. Supposedly they found a bunch of things wrong with my car, first they said i needed a new radiator, my air conditioner wasnt working right, and i needed new valve covers, then they told me my tranny was leaking fluid and my rearend was leaking too. My air conditioner always worked fine, my car never overheated and no oil ever leaked from my engine. So i dont know what to do, hopefully warranty covers everything.

Ask them if the warranty will cover everything they do. If it doesn't then tell them you don't want them to fix it. Then take it to an independant garage and see what they have to say about the "problems". Even if the stuff is broken, most likely the independant garage will be cheaper than the dealer.

If warranty does cover the problems, then I'd tell them to fix it.

Make sure they put those new parts in. Sounds like it could be a scam on Ford. I know they make quite a bit of money on warranty work.

I went in one day for a valve cover leak, and 15 days later I came out with a brand new Head job. Who knows.

sounds like :bs: to me, I'd go in there and make sure they show me what's wrong before they started actually working on it. I'd bet they try to get you to pay for it, take a mechanic friend down with you to check it out.

my car is a 2001, my air conditioner always worked really good, im pretty sure they already started working on the car because when i called them monday they told me it should be done wedn or thurs. O yea by the way i bought my car used wit 10,000miles from the chevy dealership and got a extended warranty on it so i took it to the chevy dealership to get fixed, chevy took it to the local ford dealership and they told me i still have factory warranty on it. But anyway im goin to the ford place and checking on my car, i really hope they dont charge me money for anything.
