See attached photo. These supposedly urethane strut bushings have maybe 300 miles on them. I've never seen such a total failure. It's almost like they're made from ABS or something. Has anyone seen something like this? Should I be looking for a cause? Or chalk it up to crap parts?
Who sold you those damn things??? I mean WTF??? Looks like crap parts to me... I've had PST polygraphite strut rod bushings on mine for years and thousands of miles, and they've held up great with only minimum wear. I'd call whoever sold you those and give 'em hell. Oh, and warn others.
I had the same problem with "Midolyne" bushings...
I had the same problem with "Midolyne" strut rod bushings from American Pony. They disintegrated in less than 50 miles. I replaced them with Moog rubber ones and have had no problems since.
BTW, you don't want the strut rod bushings to be too stiff (like urethane). If the bushings don't have some "give" to them the strut rod can break.

Part of a package deal on ebay for the whole front suspension kit. It was so long ago now I doubt I could get any refund. Probably not worth the trouble, I just got some stock rubber replacements (Scott Drake) from my local Mustang shop. I just hope the rest of the kit parts are not of the same quality. They all looked like decent stuff.
