City lights are an extra, smaller bulb built into the headlight housing. Seen them on several street rods lately.
Here's ONE source for them I think Mustangs Plus is carrying them now also, but they aren't on the website....

oh cool.
so it's two halogen bulbs in one lamp assembly -
wonder what color the city light bulb is ?
Not a bad price either.

Usually amber, but blue looks pretty mean too...

Ouch! <---I want to see if that works

What a nasty accusation.

VW used them back in the 50's on their trucks (I think cars too), and the common colors for the indicators were either amber or a very pale blue...

That front end looks sick

What are your plans with the rest of the exterior? all stock? mix match some shelby stuff in there?...I considered just doing the front end of the elanor cuz of the big grill openings for a huge intercooler, but i was afriad it might look out of place without changin the rest, but so far yers look realy great. Keep us updated

Exactly check out my pics before I took her apart to do this. The rest will stay the same.
I wish I had tried just adding the lower valence for everyone before I took my stock headlight buckets, and grill off.

If anyone near Houston wants to put my El lower valence on their otherwise stock (front end) Stang to see how it looks pm me. We'll try it. Just have to remove you lower front valence.

fine print at the bottom- it's only a temporary install for a few pics -

Yup, the hood makes it work for me too. The hood was the biggest problem I have with the Eleanor look and this definitely works. Just don't put purple lights in it...PLEASE

Any luck with that? I'm very curious to how well the lower El valance works with the stock upper. Any updated pix? That car is gonna look mean.

Thanks I hope so ! I haven't heard one response yet, bur I'm still willing to try it though - No updated pics yet. I'm expecting the billet grills anytime now to be on my porch. May be able to post new pics by this weekend.

By tail light housing you mean the black area around the tail lights ?
If so I got that from John's Mustang in Houston. All the rest of the tail light stuff came from Tony Branda I think. Isn't he the guy in Pittsburgh ?

Yep. I'm 99% sure that's the guy. All of it came from the same place. It's been several years, and I never got (needed) anything else from him. I'd have to check the catalogue at home to be 100% sure.
I'll post it up later tonight.

What do you guys think about this color combo ? The color blue is pretty close, and how about those racing stripes ?
Minus the flood lamps I wont be using -

Looks pretty clean, Im assuming thats still the true blue. If it were up to me, I would do it Jet Black with no stirps, for some reason i think that would just look slick, but it wouldnt stand out as much. The true blue is a very good blue thou and with some silver strips it would really grab attention...my mom's GT is true blue, and its fairly close to the blue on my 68. I would attach a pic, but im at school right now. Good job on not using the big fog lights, they are alittle too much for me. Cant wait for the updated pix, I really hope someone around you can donate theur time to see the lower valance on a car.

Looks really nice, I think you've really got the foundation for a wicked-looking car! BTW, I was the one who suggested slicing up your hood to improve the fit. In case you're wondering if it's worth it, here's a so-so pic of my front end, maybe you can see how mine fits. Trust me, it's worth all the itchy 'glass and bad words once it's done.
