I just need a opinion,my engine on a 68 vert 289 just rebuilt had problems temp gauge going to over 3/4 at idle or slow moving traffic,my rad(2core) is new and installed a shroud.I just put in a pusher fan and the temp now is just 1/2.My question is my temp sensor that turns the fan on comes on at 195 degrees and supposed to go off at 175 degrees, but the fan kicks in when my gauge is 1/4 and stays on for a long time, what if Iwas to put in a sensor from a 89 stang 2.3 litre which grounds 220 degrees and goes off at 195 degrees?
Thanks.

first the rad you have is too small. 2 core? pffft you need a 3 core rad, especially with a .060 over bore.
