I might be crazy but I think I've seen some cutouts that can be opened electronicly from a switch inside the car. It sounds like a cool idea but I cant seem to find any and i was wondering if they were worth the trouble and money.

thanks. Spike

a buddy of mine has them on his 02 camaro SS. they sound awesome but they broke in the open position. they also scrape a ton cause the car is lowered. there isnt really much performance advantage from using them.

They are just for show and noise. I have heard they don't give any performance improvements.

i've heard that they actually kill torque in the lower RPMs. it would be pretty bad ass for just cruising around w/ though

I was considering the cutouts not just for the fun of freaking people out at stoplights but i thought they would be quiet when i needed them to be. Would it be better hp wise to just go with some mufflers? and if it would which ones would give me the best performance boost without being obnoxious.
