electric door locks

We are interested in installing electric door locks in our 65. I've seen the actuator type that attachs to the door lock rod and would like to hear from anyone who has used that type. I have also seen a version that a company modifies the existing latch and adds a solenoid, these are sold for $300 for the set. Seems way to expensive.

I have seen those kits but I was concerned about the quality so I didnt buy it. I certainly want to know how well they work. Make sure to post some pics when you do get them installed.

This worked on my 70. The only holes I had to drill in the door are for the wires.

what model did you get that drivers side actuator from? That install looks awesome. Seems like it might be a cheap mod and my door locks are kinda touchy as it is. Might be just the solution i am looking for. Thanks
