Electric Fan? Dont put rods through Condensor and Radiator????

Guys,

Just got an electric fan.. gonna use it as a pusher to help out when in traffic and the airs on... The installation guide says not to put the plastic rods through both the condensor and the radiator? Why not? I dont feel like pulling either to put this thing together. Thanks in advance...
