Electric Fan swap questions?

My stock fan's bearings are getting tight and Id like to get a new fan by spring. I was wondering what kinda options do I have?

Is Mark 8 fan just plug and play? Same diameters?

Anyone using LS1 Dual fan set up? Is there enough clearance? Do you wire it up as an aftermarket one?

Buying a replacement motor a no brainer swap or need special tools?

If anyone has any suggestions Im all ears. Trying to find out what fan I should go with. thanks

i have heard a viper fan works well and doesn't draw much power.

it depends how much work u wanna do, obviously buying a stock replacement is easier than wiring up something like a dual ls1 setup, if that is even possible at all.

I dont mind the work, just want to know what Im getting myself into before I commit money to something.


Im keeping in mind of all aspects from ease of installation / price / fit / performance to decide what to do.

Mark 8 fan seems pretty popular I was just wondering it it is a plug and play item, since I did searched on this but couldnt find any definitive answers.

Same with LS1 dual fan, I think I read some where that it was used in mustangs, thought maybe some here would have knowledge.

Viper fan, havent even seen a pic of it yet. Even looked on ebay for some but couldnt find em.
