Electric fan ????

Just wondering what electric fans you guys are using that have aluminum radiators (3 inch thick) and superchargers on their foxes? I was using a Ramchargers fan that I really liked and the motor finally burned out on it. I found they are out of business so I am needing another fan for the car. I only have 4 inches between the radiator and the s/c crank pulley so that knocks the Mark 8 and similar out. Any suggestions and installed pictures would be greatly appreciated.

How did you mount it to the radiator? I have the Griffin Nascar universal radiator from Summit. Very similar to the Summit radiator you have.

Drilled 2 small holes in the top of the shroud and bolted it to the radiator using the factory clips and bolts.
Then on the bottom just drilled a small hole in the bottom of the shroud and used a fan strap (Kind of like a ziptie) to secure it to the bottom of the radiator.

Run with a Mr. Gasket 180 t-stat and it works like a champ!

The Taurus fan is about 3" inches thick so you should have an inch of clearance. I drilled two holes on one side of the shroud and used fan straps.

http://www.dccontrol.com/ check out their fans and controllers, i've heard nothing but good things about their products. A little pricey but will be worth it for the amount of money you have in motor. My old black magic wasnt enough to cool my stang.

Black "Tragic" and Flex-a-lite are no where near as good as OEM fans. The only company that makes anything even close is Spal and they do make some OEM fans.

How is that? My rad is super thick, way thicker then a Fluidyne or a Griffin and I still have room, not much but it clears.

My radiator is about 3.25 inches thick at the tanks, 3 inch at the core. Only have 4 inch between the S/C crank pulley and the radiator. I am thinking of either the dual spal electric fan or the Holcomb Motorsports dual 11 inch custom shroud and spal fans. I found the ramchargers fan through another dealer but they want between $135 to $175. I think that is a little much for that fan since they are pretty cheaply made and sold for $79 through ramchargers.

Find the volvo fans on E-bay or on Corral(sometimes). I have put a few of those on blown cars and they fit great. The fan with shroud is only 3.75" thick. If you like e-mail me for pictures... [email protected]
