Hi, still new to the mustang world. I have a 2004 3.8 base model mustang, I have looked a these new electric turbo. Before you all condemn me, I don't want to do heavy mods to my car. I just think sending a little extra air down the intake may give it a little pep. What I need to know is should I place the turbo before or after the MAF sensor. Number 2 I know the MAF sensor tells the computer to richen up or lean down, or maybe can I just leave it disconnected. If I leave it disconnected would I get a check engine light?

I am not an expert on turbocharging but one thing come to mind...
Why would you want to disconnect your maf sensor? It would probably place the car in limp mode and would defeat the purpose of turbocharging.

You should consider tuning your engine as to avoid engine damage when trying to add a turbo

I remember watching a video (I think Cletus McFarland.) testing the most expensive electric turbo and a couple cheap electric turbos on a dyno. I think the stupid expensive one worked-but needed a lot of electrical power to do a little bit of anything for several thousand dollars.
I think you’d get better results from a cold air intake and filter for like a $100 bucks

Yeah, that's quite a power supply they have there.

Run a wet kit for what that thing costs. I've seen rented, V6 mini-vans do 12s in the quarter with a wet kit installed. LoL
