I had my first electrical demon with my 2016 GT PP and must share the result. After taking a quick trip to the auto parts store in the rain for my wife's car I had to go back out for another part and found that it wouldn't start. Starter motor would not engage, only giving terrible grinding noises. I let it sit for a few minutes and was was able to start again. After a weekend trip with the car stored in the garage I came home and noticed that the fuel pump would cycle on and off at random intervals with the keys no where near the car and. The monitor displayed the message " powering down to save battery". I had it towed to my local dealership, Ford of Clermont, where they pondered the situation for a few days. When I dropped it off I showed them a glob of sticky red lube that I found on the garage floor directly under the right front wheel. The resolution was found that the ABS sensor on the left front side was incorrectly installed at the factory causing contamination to occur and subsequent short of the electrical system and battery. They replaced that faulty part and the battery and it is all better now. My service advisor Dave was helpful and gave me good communication throughout he process. This was a fairly unique problem but it may happen to someone else out there. The only complaint that I have is that while my vehicle is under warranty with only 5500 miles on it I was made to pay for a rental car while mine was waiting to be repaired. They stated that there is an option to pay for that benefit through an extended warranty but that seems ridiculous while in the original factory bumper to bumper warranty. It is my hope that there is someone at Ford who can see that this is an unacceptable practice and can help me get compensated for this extra expense. Good luck to everyone out there
