i got a problem folks. when i use my turn signals, my radio flashes. i have the power wire to the radio running staright to the battery, and i have tried a couple of places to hook up the acc. wire but to no avail. where can i hook the acc wire? what do you think causes the surging?

here is a reply my dad got on one of his forums...

Try running a jumper wire from the back of the voltage regulator directly to the negative battery post. The voltage regulator is only grounded by its attachment to the inner fender well. Corroded bolts, corroded fender well, paint are likely culprits for preventing a good ground. This solved all similar electrical problems (jittery amp meter, dimming lights and slowing of blower fan when slowing down, funky dash lights with turn signal, etc.) on my '72 Cougar.

whatcha think?
