Electronic throttle control Light

HELP!!!

My car (09 GT premium) that i just bought (526 miles) has the "electronic throttle control" light on. I DONT KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS.....? And due to this light, the car is in "limp-home" mode. which means i cant take RPM over 3000......

This started after i removed Shaker 500 deck, and installed a Pioneer Avic-F900BT. Everything is wired correctly to my knowledge. Even if it is not wired properly, that would not have any effect on this issue i'm having?? Would it???

Owners manuel says this:
"Electronic throttle control:
Illuminates when the engine has defaulted to a "limp-home" operation.
Report the fault to a dealer at the earliest opportunity."

I just need to know if this is something I could of messed up installing the Nav/stereo or if I need to take it into the dealer???

dealer says it is throwing all kinds of codes. This problem started after the Avic install. They are saying that if it involves the stereo install, i will have to pay.

Could i have shorted something out under the dash to cause the "Electronic throttle control" light to come on??
