And frustrated. Bought the Branda Fog Light kit for my 68. Can't see how to mount the lights without cutting the grill. The brackets fit neatly into the predrilled positions, but the light lugs seem too short. Does ANYONE have a picture of the install? Eternally grateful, Tom.

I have seen articles of this install in several mags in the past and this does require cutting the grill. I'll bet you could find something in the archives on Mustang Monthly or Fast Fords etc... surprised the instructions don't address the need to cut the grill??

Can't help you on the specific year but the grilles were different in other years, with/without fog lights. In 67 there was a brace/bracket behind the grille to hold the weight, it is easily retrofitted, but I don't know about the 68.

I recently asked this question. Yes the grille needs to be cut. I hear that there may be a template available from Glazier's Mustang Barn

Are you afraid of cutting the stock grill because its original, or because you dont know how to cut it? if you can, buy a grill from a junkyard and cut it and see how it turns out.
