engine bay color

I have 66 Fastback that I just got done sandblasting the engine bay.I was wondering what color black I should paint it,not sure what the original color black is called (flat black or something else)Is there another type of black that is popular?What is the paint code? Any pics are welcome.Thanks

Krylon #1613 seems to be the best match it is a semiflat black and looks great too.

well if you want a super high gloss black, use kapalana black from chrysler...its that acrylic enamel paint i believe.....

im not to sure if its spelled right, but if you sound it out it seems right....

My preference is durability and that does not come from a rattle can--if you have access to real spray equipment, go with a good epoxy primer followed by a urethane topcoat. I am using Sikkens Ralley Black on mine--has a excellent semi-gloss/eggshell appearance and is tough as nails. PPG makes a semi-gloss black as well, not sure the name.

I've always liked that the Mopars paint the engine bay the same as the body color! But maybe that's just me.....

matching paint is great until you knick it removing headers or something.
