Ok have a 71 mex 302 flat top flycut pistons and 65 hi po heads with 2" intake valves and 1.5" exhaust. The heads have also been ported quite a bit larger than stock. My question is what Cam should I run? I want a good idle and am concerned about that the heads will have an effect on it? I would like to be close to 300 FWHP

Call one of the big cam companies like Comp Cams or Crane, tell them your setup and they will hook you up. There are too many variables like stall speed of your torque convertor, rear end gear ratio, induction, exhaust ,etc...
