Alright how do I get my engine coolant light to go out? It is up to the mark on coolant, the cap is on tight, and the engine never overheats, however one day the coolant light came on and it won't go out.

the sensor in the coolant bottle will make the light turn on when the overflow gets low.....add more coolant to it or maby the sensor has gone bad.

Clean the sensor in the overflow bottle. They tend to get gunked up with crap over time and need to be cleaned. If that doesn't work then you will need to get a new sensor or learn to live with the light.

As mentioned above clean the sensor on the overfill cap.

Also, check your coolant ratio. It seems to me that the sensor corrodes quicker when using lower coolant/water ratios.

Those sensors are junk.....just unplug it and keep an eye on your coolant.
