Hey guys. On the upgraded appearance package there is a mustang emblem engine cover. The pony appears to be some kind of polished metal but I was wondering what you would recommend cleaning or polishing this cover with.

If you are referring to this(the cover is painted plastic and the pony is chrome-like plated plastic as well), I use soap and water the same as I would wash the car with then come back and rub the pony with some window cleaner.

Yeah thats it man. I will use soap and water then. When you wash the engine bay all you have to do is make sure it is cooled down correct? Then you just wash it off with water, wipe it down with soap, and wash it off then dry it? I was worried about the water causing rust problems.

When I detail engines, I use an all purpose cleaner. I just spray on the APC and let it sit for a couple minutes, then I spray off with the water (low pressure). Next you just turn the engine on for a few minutes and the water will dry pretty quick. After this you can just leave it or apply a dressing to make it shine.
