Whats up? I have a stock 260 V8 in my stang. Its got the original carb set to factory settings, Brand new plugs/wires, New Petronix ignition mudule and a fairly new coil. Out of nowhere it just starts cutting out sparaticly. Sometimes it will stop when it's been running for a minute or two, sometimes it wont stop cutting out pieriod. Any diagnosis?

Stuck choke? Vacuum leaks? Loose ignition wires? Bad spark plug wires or plugs? I'm sure there are more possible candidates. Good luck.

Everything looks normal. My dad suggested the fuel filter. Think?

I had a similar problem. I replaced the dizzy, the ignition, the wires, the plugs, and the fuel pump before finally checking the fuel tank, which was full of rust. We drained it and there was enough rust to fill up a cereal bowl. Rust was getting through the fuel filter to the carb and messing with the needles.
