I've had this 91GT for about 2 years now but I have never been able to shake the problem of it's poor rpm limiter. The motor has 126,000 on it and has next to zero modifications. Basically is has no emission system and it has no cats, but besdies that it all factory. It doesn't smoke and it runs just fine otherwise. I've put in a bigger fuel pump, replaced everything that would be included in a major tune up and even checked the computer codes but still I have this reving issue. I get up around 4,500 rpm and the motor sounds like it's killing it's self. It sounds mechanical, but thats just my opinion. Here is a list of thigs I have already cheaked.
Got fuel pressure, checked TFI, new coil, timing at 11.
What do you think about these possible problems: valve float, bad tps, or some other electronic sensor.
If you guys have any ideas or test that I could perform that would be awesome.
