Im seriously thinking about buying a 2004 GT. Im just curious if the GT has the same engine as the Cobra? Would aftermarket engine parts like, a new intake for a Cobra, fit onto a standard GT engine? Thanks for any info.

The GT has a 16 valve single overhead cam engine. The Cobra has a 32 valve dual overhead cam engine. They are both 4.6 liter engines.

You will love the GT but you would love a Cobra more. The 2003 and 2004 Cobras have factory blowers and 390 horsepower. They are very awesome cars, nicknamed the "Terminator".

Most aftermarket performance parts for a Cobra will not fit a GT.

No that is the logo of the Information Awareness Office an agency proposed by John Poindexter. The idea was not widely supported and the agency was never created (yeah riiiight)

Thanks for the replies; I figured that the Cobra would have a more powerful engine. Im still curious if an aftermarket cold air intake for a Cobra would fit on a GT engine? Or, are the engines completely different?

Yeah thats what I was thinking also. I tried to get some info from the website that is selling the intake that I liked, but they were really no help. Thanks again for all of the info!

basically no cobra parts will work on a GT without a lot of modification.
