Finally graduating and thinking the engine build will be starting soon. I've posted a lot about going with a 331. Was going to go with trick flow top end kit. I think eventually I would want a supercharger- no more than 8 psi. I even been looking at single turbo set ups. But, I'm worried about block strength. Seems, like maybe for price/strength- might as well go with a 351w. I'm just worried about what heads to use, intake, etc.... is using a trick flow top end kit out of the question? Is it cheaper to piece other parts together at that point? I guess this is where the price increase comes in with more cubes.

Also, a few places have 351w based strokers for about $2100. 331/347 about 1800. Oh, want to stay EFI! Right now my car is my daily driver... I think a 408 is out of the question for practical reasons, but what about a 377, 383, 393? Car will be daily driven(unless I get another car), minimal amount of miles a day, street car. What about supercharging or single turbo on the 351w? Is reliability going to suffer a lot. Should I just go with a 351, not stroked? Or stick to a 331? With a h/c/i and supercharger eventually(or single turbo), will the stock 302 block for sure be a ticking time bomb?

what do you have now is more the deciding factor, if it was me I would build a 8-1 comp 331 all forged stuff, with a dart iron eagle block, and run some tw heads and an f cam, that way when you put boost on it it will handle it perfectly and make mucho power, and you wouldnt have to worry about the block. thats just the combo I would do, you decide for yourself on this one, theres too many threads about "what should I build" YOU DECIDE, hell its your money!!!
