Hey all,

I'm about to pull my 97 GT engine out and I'm having some trouble finding the engine lifting brackets. I'm in SoCal, does anyone have a resource (local would be best, but online is fine) for getting these, or something equivalent? I'd buy them from here but really dont think they are worth $459.99.

I pulled the engine on my 98 today and i looked for them, and then went to the dealer, they told me you dont need them and most cars dont have them. Just a few out of the factory came with the brackets. just go ahead and mount the chains to the bolts which held the alternator on (take it off)...and on the back bolt the chain ends to the bolts to the holes on the back of the heads (there are holes back there). Good luck, PM me if you need any more help

Thanks dude, worked great. I bolted one end of the chain to one side of the alternator bracket and the other end to the other side. I used the bracket for one of the emission sensors on the rear of the engine instead of bolting to the head. It worked out just fine.

Thanks again!
