Car just started making a banging noise and it sounds like it's coming from the engine. It does it when it's idling and gets worse when I accelerate. I'd post a video but it won't let me on here. Any suggestions are welcome
I don't know your motor very well. but I know the timing chain tensioners break. Parts of it may rubbing on the chain. Do the stethiscope/ screwdriver touching the area, and see what you hear.
