What;s the best way to remove the Engine mounts on a 1990 5.0 Mustang? Can't seem to get a wrench on the nuts in the back. Please anyone have any ideas that would be great. Thanks

and on the pass side, i disconnected the battery and removed the starter cable where it affixes to the starter. with that moved, i could get some extensions and universal (swivel) sockets on the nuts.

good luck.

I use a wobbly (swivel) extension also. I would want to loosen all the bolts before jacking up the motor though. With the motor in the air it will just twist and bounce around when you try and pry on the bolts. Then again I've never done it this way, so what would I know?

I got to the two motor bolts under the car, and got to the big motor mount nut from in the wheel well (with the inner fender and wheel removed). I couldn't get my hands on an engine crane, so i used a jack and a block of wood under the oil pan.

This was surprisingly EASY to do!

Good luck.
