Engine noises.

I have a whoooooing sound coming from my engine bay. Kinda sound like a whistle or something. Also sound like its turning round and round..maybe a bearing?..Can you suggest anything to check? Thanks.

does it sound like an airplane is taking off?? Does it change in pitch or anything when you hit the brakes or swerv left or right. if so you are looking a wheel bearings remove them check for pitting, ect... if all lots good do a repack and replace the grease seals.

No..I only hear it when I'm at idle from the outside of the car. Sounds like when you blow in an empty bottle..you know it make thats whooooooooooo sound!!

Could be a throw-out bearing...... just as idea or possibly a small exhaust leak!
