So I'm going to be buying a new engine but I don't know what to get I'm thinking of getting a 347 stroker but I also kinda want to wait for FRPP's new Boss 302 block it looks pretty killer to me :-D. Among other things I'm going to be getting a new transmission. Yeah I have lots of things I need to get. I eventually want to super charge my stang with either a KB or eaton not sure what one I want lol. Thanks for the help.

Looks like the BOSS302 won't be available until April. But, its supposed to be stronger than the R302 block and less expensive. 5.0&SF mag has a decent article on it. And, someone on Hardcore5.0 said SummitRacing has it listed but won't ship until April '07.

I like the CHP 347 longblock. The new boss block makes me wonder if companies like CHP and DSS would start offering short and longblocks bassed on it.

If the Boss 302 block is affordable, stronger, and so on, it also might be ideal for a streetable stroker. That would be cool.

Thats what im saving for. I would like to do a big bore 347, with the new boss 303 block. It sounds almost too good to be true, stronger than the 302, less expensive, and new improved cooling passages. I also hear it may be like 10-15lbs lighter than the r302 block!

My 347 only costed $7500. You can buy a crate engine online too for $6999 that is supposed to be 500HP. I just can't remember which web site I went to.

No ET/hp I would like to support 500 or so and I'm really thinking of just waiting until next year when the new Boss 302 comes out because it looks very cool with the inproved cooling and oil passages. not to mention the 4 bolt mains But I don't really know if I can wait until next yaer I miss driving my stang then again winter is coming so then again it might not matter lol.

Do your homework on the blocks
The Dart sportsman is your best bet, and even that is way overkill for a mere 500hp
