You need to change that idler pulley. Is it squeeking yet? Looks very worn. . I replaced mine, it was fugly. I should take a picture under my hood but, I need to get soem descent mods before I show mine off.
From the Picture, it appears to be grooved and if its the stock one, from 98 is more then likely doesn't have much time left. Those Plastic POS ones they put in stock like to lock up and burn off belts along with causing other problems. I got a brand new aluminum one at checker for 10 bucks I think?? Can't remember since its been so long. I get parts cheap though.

No, you're perfectly fine. I just had no idea what condition it was in, Yes it is grooved and I'll look into replacing it soon. I hope to get some pulleys and a new belt for early summer anyway so I'll probably get it then. Thanks for the help! And I do hear a squeaking, but it sounds like its coming from my waterpump and I have no clue what it is since there's nothing oozing out of it. My clutch chrips too, so I'll be pulling my tranny off in a few weeks and popping in a new plate and TO bearing too. I think I'll be getting a RAM clutch for $200.
