I just rebuild my engine in my 94 gt nothing wild just had it bored .030 over and put an E303 camshaft and new valve springs. the engine idel good and revs fine but when ypu got to drive it. the car has no power. I set the base timeing at 10 btdc like it calls for. I was wondering if the computer could be the problem. Not adjusting the time or fuel right
thanks for the help

I would advance the timing up to 12*, and see how it runs then. You may have to play with the timing a little bit, before it feels any better

pinging(detonation)

there is a good chance that you may get some pinging, so make sure to keep your ears open while test driving. If you run just plain 87 octane, I'd step up to like 92 octane when you start messing with the timing. 94-95 gt computers don't seem to like modifications so it may take a little bit of tuning, and messing around with the fine adjustments before it seems right to you.

Good luck, and keep us posted as to how things turn out.

you can probably get away with 14-16* base if you run premium

I WILL TRY A LITTLE MORE ON THE TIMING WHEN I GET IT BACK TO ON THE STREET. I WAS RUNNING PREMIUM ANY WAY THE OLD ENGINE DIDN'T LIKE THE CHEAP GAS

subscribing because mine has no power either and sounds like it may be similar.
