i've got a pretty annoying problem here... i have a 96 cobra svt (4.6 DOHC). i have no nitrous, no turbo/supercharger. all that i know that was done to my car was the exhaust (i don't know of internal engine work that might have been done before i got it) i picked it up used and drove it around and got on it a few times pretty good. my engine crapped out. i shifted up to 5th one night after a short but intense session (i never red lined it) and it stalled out like it had run out of gas (tank was full). i finally got it to start after pumping the gas and it sounded like it was running off of nowhere near as many cylinders that it has. needless to say i had to keep on the gas to keep it running. my fluid levels were good. my temp gauge didn't read like an overheat. i checked the spark plugs and even replaced them (even though they didn't look bad) i have platinum +4's in it now. and it's running the same way... i was told there were a lot of geniuses on here that could prolly tell me what's up if... if you need more info to give me an opinion ask away, hook me up please... thanks

Initially it sounds like it's not firing. Could be a coil pack. This is dangerous, so do it at your own risk...
Unplug the injector harness so they will not spray gas into the cylinder when you turn it over. Take each plug wire, one at a time, off the spark plug and pull the rubber back. Hold it near something metal and have a friend turn it over. You should see a nice blue zap of power come off of it. This is the dangerous part. That's a lot of juice and could hurt pretty bad BUT you will know if the power is getting to the plugs.

Anyone else have a better idea?

no engine light or nothin i didn't even think to look behind the cluster to see if the light was still working... the light is there because it was coming on when i initially turn it on but all cars do that. if it were to come on what would i need to look for?
