I am attempting to rebuild my 5.0. i had the crank turned .010 and .010. I assembled the crank and that went well. I got the pistons in and just torqued the rod caps. Now I cant turn the crank whatsoever. I checked the plastiguage. The clearance is within spec. what gives? I measured everything. I am truly frustrated

did you put the pistons in the correct spots? i did this when i first put my motor together because i wasnt paying attention. make sure all the numbers on the rods and caps are facing out/away from the crankshaft. not a big deal, just make sure they are all in the correct position and that the numbers are facing outwards. thats my first instinct

Not that it matters, but i did have the number 7 and 8 pistons in the wrong cylinders. I fixed that. I also did have the number 5 piston in wrong and the number 4 cap on wrong. Thank you so much for your time.
