I just rolled over 100,000 miles on the stang and and was wanting to upgrade my engine and figured I'd go through and improve all I could. First of all, I have been told that a 4.6 block from an F150/Explorer is much stronger than the block in my mustang. If true; what makes that so? Would I be okay to find a 4.6 block from a truck and use that so that I will have a stronger motor? Also, I was wanting to know if a 030 bore is recommend or not? How much would most shops charge to bore the block? What all would you guys recommend me doing while it's being built? I also want to upgrade the crankshaft but I'm not sure one to get. I plan on getting some stage 2 heads and camshaft. I will probably supercharge the car in a few years so I want upgrades that won't be a problem when I go down that route.
