Hello - Hoping someone out there might have some experience with what I can only describe as,....a Stall?

I have a '12 GT Automatic - From time to time while cruising at about 60mph I will floor it just for the hell of it. That's what Mustangs are for, right?! But, sometimes the engine just stalls out on me. Flat out pukes! When that happens I pretty much have to let the gas pedal completely up, and hit it again to get her to go.

I'm almost certain it's not a dead cylinder, but you never know. I've heard the horror stories about the dreaded "8th cylinder" issues, but I don't think that's it.

Anybody out there ever have this happen? I'd appreciate any feedback.

Thanks, Marc

I have. The dealers technician test drove it several times without the "Stall" occurring. Then finally, it stalled for him. Still, they were not certain what it was. They replaced the throttle body, and "hoped" that was the fix........I plan to take it back to them again, but just hoped someone out there may have experience with this.

In this day of computer controlled everything, there has to be a code generated for a stalling issue like this. I would also contact @FordCustSrvc via PM with details of your appointments to seek further resolution to this Safety Issue!!

Will do. Thanks! And yes, it is a "Safety Issue!" When trying to pass on a busy freeway it's freakin' scary to have the car stall out with traffic coming up your backside!

The Ford Rep was tagged in my post so I'm certain she will chime in. FYI, you can tag any member using the @xxxxx call tag and they will receive a notification through the system

Definitely bring it in, Marcos12. Also, let me get this escalated to the customer service manager for you area. Please, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can help.
