I just picked up an engine stand and they sold me the wrong bolts I got a set of 3/8" -16 x 4" Grade 5 Bolts and washers. These do not work on my block so does anyone know the size I should be using to bolt my engine to my stand? I am not sure but I think they should be possibly a 7/16 in -14 x 4 1/2" Grade 8 but not sure. Thanks for any help!

Yes, 7/16 is the correct size, but I'm not sure on the thread pitch. I know it's just a standard SAE bolt though. I had to buy a couple to put into my bellhousing a few days ago, but I just took one of my old bell bolts with me to match up. They look to be course thread also.

There standard pitch, not fine thread. Get some Grade 8 ones and some nice thick washers.

Man I wish I would have seen that before I went out and bought them 7/16 bolts lol because I have a box of ARP head bolts sitting on the shelf in my garage. Oh well all is well now. Thanks for the reply
