From experience, what do you guys think is easier......pulling out the engine and tranny in one shot, or pulling the engine and dropping the tranny? I'm going to be doing it soon and was curious as to if anyone had done both at the same time yet, and how they did it.

Both can be done at the same time, but if you'll be by yourself I'd take out the engine first, then the tranny. It's not that much more work to unbolt the engine from the tranny and it'll save you a lot of hastle and possible damaging something.

Now if you have one or a few friends helping out, I'd take it out as a whole.

i did both at once, you may need to jack the front of the car up a bit while first lifting the engine (to give the tranny more room so u can get more of an angle on it) then lower the front of the car back down to get the tranny over the radiator support
