Ok so I have a 2000 mustang with the 3.8L v6. The problem I’m having is after I’ve been driving and shut the car off and let it sit for 10 minutes or so, it will not start until it sits for 45 minutes or so. It will turn over and over and won’t start. Starts perfect first thing in the morning or right after I shut it off and start it right back up or after it’s cooled down. I have spark, fuel pump comes on, have plenty of fuel pressure, but the injectors don’t fire, I hooked up noid lights and NOTHING on a single one. I’m honestly lost at this point and really need some help on figuring this out, it’s my daily and I’m going through so much gas having to leave it running sometimes and it’s honestly more annoying than anything. I can’t even shut it off to get gas or run into the store without having to sit there for an hour just so it will start back up. Any help is appreciated.

Have you pulled codes with a scanner? If not, do.

Look for codes for PCM or crank position sensor.
Check your PCM relay and make sure it's doing 'relay things'. O_o

For :poo:s and grins, pop and reset the inertia switch. I'm not certain where it is on a 2000 but I imagine it behind the rear most panel in the trunk.

crank no start when hot is indicative of a flood issue, usually by a bad sensor.

Depress the gas pedal to the floor and try cranking it and see if it starts. If it does it’s definitely an overly rich condition when hot.

Pull your codes and see if there is anything stored to point you towards which sensor is faulty. You may have to look at live data as well
