I have been searching the threads and I really havent gotten what I was looking for. There was a good discussion about crate motors, but I am still unsure. Somewhere down the road I would like a new engine. Not a kit or an assembly, but something I can buy and just put in my engine and drive. I do not want to have to get other parts and put them on, but basically take it out of the box, put it in the car and drive off. I would prefer something that has around 300+ hp that already has better engine parts than the stock 5.0..ex gt40 intake, better cam, pistons etc. I looked at central coast mustangs for engines, but I am still searching. I do not want to go to the junkyard and rebuild one. Im looking to spend anywhere from 2-4K.

So you are looking for a crate motor. You can get full assembled engines from many different companies around the country and there are probably machine shops that would be more then happy to assemble one for you. They only problem is the 2-4k is a little low. I am looking at spending that just on the long block

I went to Ford motors website (http://www.strokerengine.com/FoMoCoEngines.html) and found some long blocks for just over 3K. What would be the problem with getting one of those that has anywhere from 320-370hp? You said you would be spending that money on just the block, well what else would I need if I purchased one of the long blocks on that website? It said something about using the stock pan, water pump and some other misc stuff, but what else would need to be done? What else would you do? - Sorry for the 20 questions :hail2:

Squeeeg-If you go to this link, http://www.strokerengine.com/FoMoCoEngines.html, the last engine in long blocks, the 6007 with 340 hp for $3500, I believe is a good choice. It says some components from my engine might need to be reused. I am just wondering if it will fit my 92 Fox body because it says some fox bodies will work. And also if my MAC Headers would fit. It says that the ford induction and TB are not included which is fine. I already have a 70mm TB and I want to get the gt-40 intake. What do you think?
