I'm put a 351W in my 1971 mustang. I'm getting the shortblock form coast high performance. What do you all think about them. Here is a list of parts that I'm thinking about using.

351W stroked to 427
4340 crank
4340 rods
forged probe pistons
185 AFR heads
Com cam xtreme XE284H hydraulic flat tappet
Edelbrock air gap intake
demon carb

When I talk to the engine company they said I should I use a roller hydraulic cam, and AFR 205 heads. Now I would like the engine to be for the street. What does everyone think. Thank you

what compression are you going to end up with?
What octane fuel are you able to get in Thailand?

Huey pilot,
What stall are you running? What is your peak torque at? How low in RPM did you dyno? What were those HP and TQ figures? What RPM are you turning with your combination? I am looking to keep rpm near 6000 and not much more. I may go with 205 AFR's and the comp XE284H or roller eqievilent. Hoping to end up with a 10:1 compression. The gas here is either 91 or 94 octane.

I am running 2800 stall. Peak torque was around 454 at 3500 rpm. The dyno I went to starts recording at 3k. I can go to 6.5k if I am falling behind but usually shift a 6k. I can run on 93 octane with timing set at 12 deg initial and 34 total.
