This all started about a month ago when I had a broken lifter. The car ran fine w/ the broken lifter, it still was fast and smoked the tires... it just made alot of noise. I replaced all of my lifters to be safe and ever since, the car has no power what-so-ever and its using alot of gas and you can smell the gas very strong coming from the tailpipes.. and sometimes it even has blue smoke coming from the tailpipes. And it didnt do any of this til I replaced those lifters. If it helps any when I installed the lifters all I did was pull the old lifters out and drop some used ones in I had sitting in my basement from a previous motor. Then I tightened the rocker arms down until I couldnt turn the bolt anymore.

From what i have read the stock valve springs are weak therefore with the F cam the .512 lift may effect the valves being open too long and allowing more raw fuel to spill out causing it to run rich. This is just a thought so i though it would chime in

Also make sure all of your pushrods are properly seated into the rockers

Obviously you had a lot of stuff removed to get access to the lifters. Go back and check all the wiring and vacuum connections. Then dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.
