EPA sticker?

hey guys where is the EPA sticker on an 89 5.0 car? i cant ship my car from england to the US without one
i have a letter being faxed over from the EPA but if i can find the sticker, i can make my appointment tomorrow to have the car shipped back! otherwise i gotta wait a while and time is running short

help a fellow stanger bring his stang home from a foreign country!

it should be on the coil cover.

50resto has them

ok i went to 50resto's website and saw it on there. i wasnt sure if it was an EPA sticker but i take it that it is. ill see if mine is still around!

my stang is coming home!

doh! i spoke with the EPA people and they said the decal wont work? what is supposed to be written on the EPA label to make it legal? or what?

head over to the Corral and PM Dave88LX he had similar troubles bringing his car back from Germany.

So some important sticker was on that ignition-coil cover?

That'd be like putting the VIN on a spark plug wire and insisting upon its presence to bring your car back across the Pond. With the mobility of those plastic covers (you could get one off ebay), that's retarded.

I'm guessing that Dave was kind enough to PM you. In addition, I think Mootang is over there and might have some insight as well.
