Posting this for a friend actually. Just installed a GT500 twin fuel pump kit on a 2008 Mustang GT with Saleen blower kit. Everything runs/works great- but his fuel gauge isn't working and he's getting the following errors on his gauge cluster under the speedo:

"FUEL LEVEL LOW DTE FLI DATA ERR"

and

"FUEL LEVEL DATA ERROR"

He's wondering if anyone's seen this before- and if he has to pull everything apart of just fix a wire/harness somewhere. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Your going to want to inspect the wiring related to the passenger side and drivers side fuel gauge sending units. This includes removing them if required. If nothing obvious is found, get an ohm meter and with the sending units disconnected check for smooth changes in the resistances as you move the float arms. There should not be an open circuit indicated. That error message is usually the result of an open circuit in the fuel gauge circuit as a result of a defective sending unit.

I agree, there most likely is a wiring/connection issue.

There was an issue when installing the GT500 pumps in the whipple kit. You had to switch the fuel level sending unit harness clip wires. It's the clip with the two wires, I think blue and green???
