Esterhazy

Paved???? hahahah JK I've never driven there from Regina but Mapquest or a map or maybe someone else will chime in but here are the Details Sept 10, racers should show up around 9:00 and it's going to be heads up racing with Grudge matches at the end would like to see lots of you there we try to make it a fun day for both spectators and racers

I don't think it would be worth driving from Calgary for, Matthew.

I will be there. I hope my buddy has his coupe fixed that he let me race in Yorkton's 1/8 mile drags. He blew the rearend out and said he was going to try to have it fixed to race at Esterhazy.

Sorry I didn't give more notice I just checked in here yesterday its been a while, good to hear your going to make it Ryan I get to work the announcer booth this year, stop in and visit, I won't be grumpy hahahaha
Todd and Nicole whipped together another Coupe for her to Run should be a fun day

where the heck Esterhazy is, are all the roads out to the place paved, etc.

Go on the Trans Canada East( towards Winnipeg ), turn left on Hwy 22 at Whitewood. Follow Hwy 22 until you get to Esterhazy. Hwy 22 is paved and there may be some rough spots, I haven't been on it in awhile.

You know I heard that some of these Southern Saskatchewan Airport drags were a hoot, and I'm not above loading the car up and driving east to check out an event like this. I can't do it on no notice though.

Actually, I find that it's fairly problematic to locate all of the little drag racing events on the prairies. There are several good resources listing every local car show in the West available online, but it seems that noone is consolidating a list of all the drag racing events. A case in point is the 100 foot drags - there are lots of them, but I have never been able to find a listing, and I usually only find out a week in advance.

We have tried to list as many racing events as we know about on wolfpackcc.com 's event listing, but I know that list is very incomplete. Maybe someone should either start a racing event calendar, or at least report your events to someone who will list them like the Wolf Pack.

It would be good for everyone if there was better information available about drag racing events in Western Canada.

Rats, I missed it :(
I've been on holidays and just got back tonight. went to Meadow Lake Sk. to visit my oldest brother [friggen sticks!!]and wasn't able to make it back in time [g/f got pretty cranky when I suggested leaving early :( ]
I did have a few friends that were racing:
George: red 91' GTA
Mark: orange 70' GTO
Skip: white/orange 64' Polara
Dan: 02' GTP
and my sister inlaw put my TA in the show and shine.
They were saying that there were some pretty fast cars again this year. Also said there was a yellow Mach I that was really quick off the lights but they didn't know who it was.

I was working the announcer booth this year with my car all apart The Yellow Mach was pretty quick with a little help from the Laughing gas he is a Local to ehazy and a club member I can't remember his name but I can look it up, the GTP didn't do as well as I thought it might, and Skips car really boogies with those Indy heads on it if he puts a little more cam in there that car is going to be crazy, all I got to run this year was a customers 72 vette

George gave me a sheet with the cars and drivers on it along with some of the ET's. I see a 10.73@68mph jotted down beside the GTP, witch ya, is pretty pokey.
I see the Mach I was driven by a Guy Redman, but they didn't get any times for it. George said his own best time of the day was [email protected] with his 91' GTA [nitrous] while racing Skip in the grudge matches. I can't remember what he had said Skip was running but he did say that Skip's car was running really strong and that he figured he got lucky to beat him.
Hope you get your car up and running again soon!!

That's pretty much how it went the GTA was running real well
