Please, give me a break! If you where turning 5800rpm in 5th with 373's, you were running about 175 mph! That ain't gonna happen in a Mustang GT!

He's running 18's, that could change the formula some depending on tire height.

Yeah, so an 18" tire increases speed to 184 mph according to "the formula". Even more ludicrous. Can anyone say "VIPER"?

Answer is 155.885 with 5th being .76 OD as I found on a mustang site for 96 GTs with the T45 I believe. EDIT: your 97 should have the exact same 5th as 96. And your tires come to 25.6 inches tall.

The tire or rim size is not a factor size I am within like .2 of the origional tire overall diameter.

Please explain what you mean by that? I'm way over 267rwhp. I'm running 10lbs of boost w/a custom tune with the timing bumped up because I have the SP kit. I would estimate myself around 350rwhp at least.

well...

I got my gt to redline it in 4th gear... ~160 mph. I was excited to see it'd pull that fast, and I was excited to get back to 70 mph. One time was enough for me. Of course that's w/ 3:27's, so it's not really relavant to the thread.

Um actually you were going between 145.623 and 147.899 if you were in 4th and the revs were at the factory limiter, 6250 RPMs.I personally dont think 99+ stock GTs will do any over 140MPH although the speedo may show more...but yours isnt a 99+ so that statement does not apply to you, and since you have all those upgrades I dont doubt you hit the rev limiter...next time put it in 5th and see what happens...may need some 3.55s though to carry over.Nice run though.

3.27's actually hurt your top end unless you have a lot of hp to back it up.
