You can shut off this feature permanently with almost any programmer. You will not notice it being on or off unless and until you give enough power to break the tires loose. I can't wait to shut mine off as i sometimes forget it's on and stomp on it only to look like a fool when the gas is cut because i started to break one loose.
It's probably harder for me to tell because my car is an Automatic and it has 18" wheels and a huge footprint...it feels the same way both on or off. I'm going to have to supercharge it, to be able to peel out like a Mustang was born to do.
So are you saying you can light the tires just as well with it on as you can with it off? If so it is not working and i am jealous.
the first problem is that you have the stock tune, correct? if so, then that is the biggest hinderance to your burn out capabilities. the throttle does not respond well under 2500 RPM, especially with an auto. if you get a tuner and flash the PCM, you will have better luck.

I'll try that, thanks. You try brake torqing the car at all to see the difference? That's the easiest way to see the difference given your of the line lack of spin currently. If you brake torque it and it starts to cut power, then you know it's working. Or wait for some rain and try it then..

Let me know. Is it a mechanical or electrical component?my friend is making a part so it will default to "OFF" when the car is first started, so you will not have to turn it off completely or will manully have to turn it on.I should be testing one pretty soon.
electrical, just a basic plug that can be removed for "dealer work"Let me know. Is it a mechanical or electrical component?
